SMEAD.COM RECEIVES “OUTSTANDING WEBSITE” AWARD
Smead Organomics website recognized for outstanding design and interactivity
HASTINGS, Minn. (September 29, 2009) — Smead®, a leading provider of filing and organizational products, announced today that the smead.com website has received an Outstanding Website WebAward in the Manufacturing Category from the Web Marketing Association. This is the second year that the website has received the award, garnering high marks for its overall design, interactivity and ease of use.
“We are thrilled to receive an Outstanding Website Award. Smead makes it a priority to understand how people work, and we are continually creating new ways to get things done faster, easier and with less stress,” says Jim Riesterer, Smead Vice President of Marketing. "Our brand promise, Keeping You Organized, is carried through to our website philosophy and design. It's why we developed Smead Organomics, a section of our website that helps individuals find personalized organizing solutions suited to their unique styles and types of work.
Judges commented that smead.com was “very attractive and direct.” They said they “love the approach of the site, which was very clean and easy to navigate.” They also noted that “this site was B2B (business to business) and yet in look and feel it seems very consumer.”
Nominated websites were evaluated by expert judges on seven criteria using a ten point scale, including Design, Innovation, Content, Technology, Interactivity, Copywriting and Ease of Use. While smead.com received especially high scores for Interactivity, Design and Ease of Use, it also scored above both the Industry Average and WebAward Average score in every category.
